The double smash burger is arguably the best burger I’ve ever had. I even called to relay that message to the staff. Environment was super chill and the beer selection is great. I’ll be back!
Was directed here by a suggestion from the local hotel. We are so glad we took an adventure to find the Thirsty Fox. We were promptly greeted upon arrival and found a comfortable seat. The menu choices were plentyful and the menu descriptions were detailed enough to make an informed decision. I got a smash burger and my wife got a swiss burger with salad. The burgers were done to juicy perfection with a nice grilled flavor without being greasy. The fries were perfect, hot and lightly seasoned. The salad had an excellent presentation. We shared a brownie for desert which thay tasted fresh from the oven with a delicate refreshing vanilla ice cream scoop on top. The excellent service by Justin made for a perfect experience! Well worth the drive through town!
I have been to thirsty fox more than 4 times and every single time I go it is SO good. The atmosphere is beautiful. Inside and outside. I really enjoy that they have an outside sitting area, and it converts into a cozy outdoor space for the winter as well!:) I've ordered everything from burgers, breads, and drinks, I have yet to try their bowls and salads, but my friends have, and they really enjoyed them! I had a ruben sandwich recently and wow! It was delicious!!
We were looking for something more than an I90 exit restaurant, so we decided to travel a little further into Albert Lea. It was a great decision. Service was fast and friendly. They have some very good beer selections. Their burger menu is quite vast and extremely flavorful. Wholly recommend driving out of your way if you're driving through on I90 or just spending time in the area.
Had a couple beers and some wings. Wings were on point! Beer was solid, wide variety of taps! I had a Guinness
This was an awesome find! Our server, Miranda, was very friendly and welcoming. Our food was great. This place just had a nice vibe. Live music with the outdoor seating, but too hot for us. We chose indoor.
My wife and I stopped for a late lunch Saturday afternoon. It was not very busy so parking was easy and no wait to be sat. Our server, Gretta, was fantastic. Super polite and on top of her tables. Drinks came out quick. We ordered cheese curds as an appetizer and they were delicious. My wife ordered the dill pickle and bacon flatbread. If you like pickles this is a must! I had the double smash burger and was only able to eat half! It was huge! I wish I had room for more because it was delicious. The fries were really good too! We can’t wait to go back!
Visited this place back in May 05,2024, and I really wanted to go back. Since then, I’ve tried the bruschetta at many places, and theirs were the best. Truly want to come back some time to have their bruchetta again.
If you’re anywhere near Albert Lea and haven’t been to the Thirsty Fox yet… you’re missing out on one of the best spots in town.
Wow, this is not your typical bar food, by any stretch. The chef jumped in to help seat us as we arrived during a busy few minutes on a Saturday night. He disappeared, and then we were the grateful beneficiaries of the most intentional, creative and clearly well-thought-out food. This chef loves what he does. (Or fakes it very well. 😉) I snapped a pic of the appetizer. Crostini with some kind of magical whipped ricotta & apple bacon jam drizzled with balsamic reduction and… pesto? I don’t know, but I will be back for more. We travel back & forth to Iowa from downtown St. Paul & none of our local St. Paul bars can hold a candle to this food… or the whiskey list. Well worth the couple miles off the highway.
